Fermín Francisco de Lasuén was a Franciscan friar and missionary. Between 1767 and 1785, he administered a number of missions in Baja and Alta California, including the San Francisco de Borja, San Gabriel, San Juan Capistrano, and San Diego missions. Francisco Palóu was a Franciscan missionary who, along with Junipero Serra, was involved with the building and development of several missions throughout California during the late 18th century.
